Applepie Solutions, a Galway-based software company, has been selected by Finnish company Profium as its development and sales partner for Ireland and the UK. Profium develops content management systems, using the latest Semantic web technologies to enable some of the largest news and media agencies in Europe to manage and deliver their content.

Applepie Solutions has been working with Profium for several years, most recently in the delivery of large-content management solutions to the Finnish news agency (STT) and the Netherlands national news agency (ANP).  Both systems deliver thousands of news stories and photographs annually to newspapers, radio, television and internet sites.

Profium CEO Janne Saarela commented: “Applepie has played a leading role in a number of Profium’s customer projects and we are delighted to have Applepie become a reseller for Profium’s products, helping us grow the Semantic content management business.”
