Learning platform for the global professional services industry Examfly has raised more than €1.5 million in its latest funding round as the company secures contracts in the UK.
The Irish software start-up has developed a learning platform for professionals and students preparing for the financial, accounting and taxation professional exams and for continuous development and training within businesses.
Examfly combines interactive technologies with proven techniques from education psychology to create a faster, more enjoyable and more effective learning experience.
Examfly is currently being used by some of the world’s largest professional services firms including PwC, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton, BDO, PKF and Vialto Partners as part of their education, training and development programmes.
In its most recent client win, the company secured a two-year deal with PWC in the UK.
The latest funding round has seen notable investors come on board including Brian Caufiled, and several exited founders and high level tech executives.
Examfly previously raised over €600,000 in its pre-seed round in 2020 from various angel investors with the support of Enterprise Ireland, under their High Potential Start-up Programme.
The company plans to use the latest investment to further develop the platform, refine its generative AI production engine and continue its international expansion.
Headquartered in Dublin, Examfly was founded in 2020 by Founder and CEO, Dee Lyons, a chartered tax advisor and former wealth management executive at Davy.
The company currently employs five people with plans to double the headcount this year.
