Regular travellers on the 16 bus route from Santry to Ballinteer could find themselves in for a surprise as Dublin Bus begins a trial of Wi-Fi hotspots. A grand total of 10 busses will be part of the trial.

Dublin Bus isn’t the first to trial wireless connectivity for passengers. Iarnrod Eireann has introduced Wi-Fi on its Dublin to Cork line, Bus Eireann pilot it on select routes last year and a number of private bus companies have also climbed aboard.
