Digital Planet launches second enterprise cloud hub

Digital Planet has launched its second cloud platform which is located at Interxion’s data centre in Parkwest, Dublin.

Brian Larkin, operations director, Digital Planet, said: "This partnership with Interxion provides us with a second hub that will offer next generation, scalable, reliable and secure technology to the Digital Planet client-base, facilitating anytime, anywhere Enterprise Cloud Solutions in response to market requirements.

"In order to meet demand for our suite of CloudStore products and enterprise cloud services, we invested in this second hub 12 months ahead of forecast… All our Data Stores are located in Ireland which gives us a competitive advantage when it comes to Data Protection. Our consultants and all the 24×7 support team are also located in Ireland which allows us to develop a strong client relationship, with close proximity to support our customer base."

Tanya Duncan, managing director of Interxion Ireland, said: "With enterprises migrating more and more of their workloads to centrally managed cloud computing platforms, the dependency on the underlying data centre, compute and network infrastructure increases."
