Citrix is to grow its Dublin workforce by 50, meaning that the company headcount in Ireland will grow to 265 people by the end of 2014. The open positions include roles in sales, IT shared services and technical support. The news follows a recent €540,000 investment in its East Point facilities in Dublin.

The project is supported by the Dept of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Grace O’Rourke Veitch, Citrix Ireland country manager (pictured), said: “Citrix has been able to grow its business in Ireland and across Europe, the Middle East and Africa because of the fantastic staff we have here in Dublin. The pool of highly skilled workers in the country has given us the confidence to continue to expand over the next four years as we develop technology to enable companies to work better in a dynamic and mobile world.”

“As technology has become a seamless part of people’s work and personal lives, Citrix has provided desktop, mobile, app and data services to enable people to work better. Mobility in the workplace has become both an expectation and necessity very quickly and Citrix has moved swiftly to address this opportunity. We hope that our product suite and our technology leadership will appeal to any professional looking for an exciting career in the IT sector.”

A number of Citrix business units operate in Ireland including sales, global IT operations, HR shared services and technical support teams that provide support to partners and end users across the entire EMEA region, for all Citrix mobile workspace technologies. In addition, the Dublin site has diversified to include software development activities, online content and customer self-help technology and product and program activities.
