Software company Axway is expanding its research and development centre of excellence in Dublin. The move will immediately provide 15 software engineering jobs.

The centre of excellence will be Axway’s global hub for its API Gateway research and development in the fields of cloud, mobile, social and the Internet of Things will all be built using APIs (application programming interfaces). In our increasingly connected world, APIs break down the language barriers between multiple devices providing the foundations of the smart home and connected car.

“There is a world class software engineering population in Ireland and we want to recruit from this talent pool. Dublin in particular is globally acknowledged as a hub of engineering excellence and we will be looking to recruit senior engineering staff for our R&D Centre,” said Laurent Bride, executive vice president of research and development, Axway (pictured).” Engineers joining us will be working on some of the latest computing technologies as we evolve Axway’s enterprise software portfolio, to ensure we are at the forefront of the Cloud and Mobile innovation curve”.

Axway, who acquired Irish company Vordel last year, has 11,000 customers in more than 100 countries.
