Mobile operator Three and IP communications provider Blueface have launched a new iPhone app delivering a mobile landline service aimed at SME customers.

The Blueface landline app, developed in association with Vennetics, is free to download and requires a one-off €10 activation fee. Thereafter a charge of 15c applies to make and receive a calls regardless of peak, off peak and weekend usage. The service is available on Three’s Business Solo Plan costing €75 per month, which covers unlimited mobile and landline ROI and UK calls, unlimited texts and data (subject to fair usage) for Republic of Ireland. Separate rates apply for international calls and data.

Eoin MacManus, commercial director, Three said: "This agreement with Blueface gives Three a significant advantage over our competitors in the SME market. This simple, easy to use service will mean businesses can now have all the benefits of a fixed line number with the flexibility of mobile communications at exceptional value."

Alan Foy, CEO, Blueface said: "The Three landline App not only provides business customers with an innovative way of accessing a fixed landline but also enables customers to save costs by removing fixed cost monthly line rental and by using Blueface’s low-cost international call rates."
