Nokia Internet Communications’ IP380 network appliance is designed for medium enterprise applications and offers high-speed performance in an easy to manage single rack unit.

The Nokia IP380 is a security platform designed to fit the evolving needs of the medium enterprise customer. It suits a wide variety of connectivity needs with four integrated and fully routable Ethernet ports and two option slots that can handle either WAN Cards or dual port Ethernet cards for up to eight 10/100 ports. New serviceability features such as a slide out access tray allow for quick and easy installation of cards or memory without having to unrack a unit.

The IP380 can be used to host either Check Point VPN-1, FireWall-1 NG, or RealSecure for Nokia. As a firewall and VPN platform, the IP380 reaches speeds of 600Mbit/s of secured firewall throughput, and encrypts 3DES VPN at almost 90Mbit/s out of the box or at 130Mbit/s with the encryption accelerator option. As an intrusion detection platform with RealSecure for Nokia, the IP380 operates at 100Mbit/s line speed.
