Dell XPS 10

Dell’s first play in the Windows RT tablet space is ready for pre-order just in time for the 26 October release of the mobile-friendly operating system.

The XPS 10 has a 1366×768 pixel, 10" display, weighs 635g, has front and rear webcams and provides about 8 hours of battery life. The XPS 10 has a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, which is based on ARM architecture.

Dell will sell an optional dock that has a keyboard, touchpad and battery, which adds eight more hours of run time to the XPS 10 tablet for an additional €170.

Connectivity features including 3G/4G mobile broadband options will be offered with the tablet in the future. The S4 chip in the XPS 10 already has a built-in LTE radio.

Price: €479 (€649 with dock)

We don’t know what it looks like, what the specs are or how much it will cost but word has it the iPad mini will have a 7" screen, no retina display, and will mark the end of the iPad 2’s shelf life.
