Top marks for IT testing centre

New Horizons Ireland has been named as the leading Prometric authorised testing centre in Ireland by Prometric CEO Michael Brannick. The CEO said Prometric’s European team chose New Horizons for its “significant market-leading efforts in delivering IT certification and a rewarding learning experience” for its students.

The Prometric system enables students to use facilities in New Horizons’ Irish offices and to do exams online that they would otherwise have to travel to the US or Britain to sit. The students can thus take specialised and less common exams in a secure testing environment.

New Horizons Ireland works with vendors such as Microsoft and Dell to provide an ever increasing catalogue of courses to its clients.

Commenting on the award, Colin Cassidy, partner manager for Microsoft in Ireland, said: “A strong knowledge economy requires a strong pool of certified IT professionals.” He said New Horizons Ireland helps Microsoft and many other vendors by providing official training courses leading to certification.
