A new package designed to help employers deal with pension deductions is being offered free of charge by Sage. Sage Quickpay 3 caters for up to three employees per tax year and takes into account the current legislation. However, it will also facilitate new PRSA legislation recently passed by the Dail. This new legislation requires employers to nominate a pension provider, take the PRSA into account when calculating the employees pay and then transfer the pension contribution to the pension provider within a fixed deadline.
Quickpay deducts the PRSA amount and displays it on the payslip. It also provides a deductions report and calculates PAYE and PRSI.
The company has also announced the launch of the latest version of Sage Line 50. Version 9 will include new features such as: Company archiving, which allows businesses to archive company information at the end of the financial year yet still keep it accessible; Management Information System, which displays key features of company data in tables and graphs; and for those with the Sage Line 50 Financial Controller packages, Transaction Mail (T-Mail) allows users to send and receive invoices and orders via Outlook e-mail from customers and suppliers also using Sage Line 50 v9, and Foreign Trader, aimed at those who want to produce foreign currency documents. Prices for Sage Line 50 v9 start at €640.
