Desktop Text from O2 Ireland allows PC users to send an SMS message directly from Microsoft Outlook to any mobile phone, regardless of network for the price of a standard text message.
The plug-in, which is compatible with versions 98, 2000 and 2002 of Outlook, enables users to select recipients’ names from the mail application’s address book, allowing them to distribute messages to as many as 400 people simultaneously.
Desktop Text, which is free to download from www.o2.ie, also offers SMS notifications on high priority incoming mails and diary reminders.
