Sea Fibre Networks, owner and operator subsea telecoms network CeltixConnect, has penned a fibre contract with information delivery platform Colt. The deal will see Colt’s customers serviced by the lowest latency solution connecting Ireland to the UK with onward access to Colt’s pan-European network.

Diane Hodnett, CEO, Sea Fibre Networks, said: "I am delighted to announce Colt as a customer. Colt is a highly regarded provider with phenomenal pan-European reach and a focus on low latency which the CeltixConnect infrastructure delivers".

"The CeltixConnect sea cable will enable Colt to benefit from the lowest latency route between Dublin and London and represents the continued expansion of our information delivery platform’s capabilities throughout Europe," said François Eloy, executive vice president of Colt Communications Services. "As part of our commitment to helping organisations in Europe run smarter and faster, our customers will benefit from high bandwidth connectivity between Ireland and the rest of our extensive pan-European network, enabling us to meet strong demand for national and international high speed connectivity."
