Enterprise survey technology platform developer Qualtrics is to create 50 jobs over the next 12 months at its European headquarters in Dublin. The positions are in sales and software research and development.

The office, opened today by Taoiseach Enda Kenny, is Qualtrics first outside the US. The company expects to employ a total of 150 people in the Europe, Middle East and Asia region within three years.

Speaking at the opening this morning, the Taoiseach said: "I am delighted to be opening Qualtrics’ European HQ here in Dublin. The decision of this dynamic and rapidly growing company to establish operations in Ireland is another vote of confidence in the country’s strengths as a location for investment and jobs – our people, our pro-business environment and our proximity to European markets. For the Government’s part, we are determined to prioritise, through our Action Plan for Jobs, those policies which help attract more investment so that we can continue to build on the 3,000 new jobs being created in the private sector every month."

Qualtrics was co-founded by CEO Ryan Smith in 2002. Last year it received a $70 million investment from Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital, the largest ever joint investment undertaken by the two firms. The company experienced triple digit growth in 2012 now employs 350 people.
