Professor Rory O’Moore has been made the recipient of the inaugural HISI/O’Moore medal, presented to individuals and organisations for outstanding contribution to the development of healthcare informatics in Ireland.
The award, which is organised by HISI (Health and Informatics Society of Ireland), was presented to Professor O’Moore for his pioneering work in the Irish healthcare informatics field. He is the chairman of the Section of Healthcare Informatics in the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland and past chairman of HISI and the European Federation for Medical Informatics.
