Toshiba’s new Portégé A100 lightweight notebook is powered by the Mobile Pentium M Centrino 1.4GHz processor and comes with 256DDR RAM, an internal LAN card, integrated Wi-Fi antenna and a V.90 modem.
Priced at €1,429 ex VAT, the Portege has a clear 12.1in TFT active matrix colour XGA display, which is complemented by a high performance graphics controller and a 3D graphics accelerator. With an additional 64Mbyte UMA of video memory, the Portégé A100 delivers sharp graphics, making it ideal for DVD playback and presentations.
The notebook includes an integrated DVD/CD-RW drive and a variety of ports including a Secure Digital media slot, iLink port and two PC card slots. In addition, four USB 2.0 ports allow fast and easy connection to digital devices such as digital cameras, projectors, TV’s and other peripherals. The Portégé comes with brushed aluminium style keys and neutral silver polycarbonate casing. It also includes a three-year warranty.
