LaCie PocketDrive CD-RW fits in the palm of your hand and burns a CD in four minutes. The 16x10x24x has FireWire and new USB 2.0 interfaces and is hot pluggable on any FireWire or USB-equipped Mac and PC.
The U&I dual support provides connectivity with most current and future Macintoshes and PCs. The drive is as fast with USB as it is with FireWire, both interfaces delivering transfer rates of more than 450Mbit/s. USB 2.0 is 40 times faster than previous USB generations and also offers backward compatibility with USB 1.1 controllers (speeds limited at 4x).
The PocketDrive CD-RW automatically detects the type of interface it is being used with and configures the connection.
It can be powered directly by the Apple G3 and G4 FireWire bus for optimum portability. An international power supply can be used with the USB or I-link interface or to conserve laptop batteries.
Designed for users on the move, the PocketDrive CD-RW is encased in silicon shock-absorber which prevents sliding or damage.
