Epson’s Perfection 2400 Photo 48bit scanner has a USB 2.0 high-speed interface and offers a true resolution of 2400dpi.
The 2400dpi MatrixCCD has Epson’s Micro Step Drive feature for scanning up to 4800dpi and capture the finest details from the original. The internal and external 48bit colour depth enables the capture of 281tn colours and 16,384 shades of grey for smooth colour gradation.
The device is fitted with an in-built 35mm x 6-frame unit for scanning negatives and transparencies. Adobe Photoshop Elements software is also bundled with the scanner.
On-Chip Microlens Technology is incorporated into the unit; this system gathers light volume at the centre of the photo diode, which results in greater light volume, producing better image quality, faster scans and less on the image ‘noise’.
The Smart Panel on the Perfection 2400 Photo includes four quick start buttons for one touch scanning. Its features include scan to copy, scan to Web, scan to e-mail and scan to application.
Scanned colour film can also be saved as PRINT Image Matching files for brighter and more vibrant colour prints when used in conjunction with a PRINT Image Matching compatible printer.
