PCH International acquires Lima Lab

Irish-headquartered PCH International has is to acquire Silicon Valley based Lima Lab Inc with plans to expand its product development and engineering services in the US market.

The acquisition will create 15 jobs in PCH’s San Francisco base by the end of the year, with another 15 coming on stream by the end of 2013. Plans for the expansion include the opening of an R&D development lab, with full prototyping lab, rapid proto printers, EE lab, soft good lab and project space for start-up opportunities.

Lima Lab Inc, founded in 2009, is a product development consultancy with a focus on prototyping and working with industrial design firm to develop products from concept ideation through to manufacturing support.

Liam Casey, founder and CEO of PCH International, said: "San Francisco is already a world class centre for design excellence, and is an ideal location for PCH to serve our existing clients in Silicon Valley and attract more entrepreneurial partnerships. Expanding our services to California with this acquisition allows us to respond even more quickly to client requirements in their time zone."
