IT Focus has selected managed automation software from Kaseya to provide network and IT support to its clients. The firm has initially bought 2,500 licenses and is managing the Kaseya software for 12 customers. Kaseya says its software has been installed on 50 other customers’ hardware in preparation for further moves to full managed service contracts.
IT Focus MD Neil Stone-Wigg noted that deploying managed automation software enabled a move away from the traditional break-fix model of support towards a proactive remote management model, reducing network downtime.
Kaseya says it plans to expand its staff from 20 to 30 by mid 2009.
IT Focus spent 15 months researching the correct software tool before choosing Kaseya. Stone-Wigg noted that reporting is a key element of what the firm needs to deliver to clients. “These reports have to be in a format that the client appreciates, and that was very important in our decision to choose Kaseya over the competition.”
The Kaseya framework is a new generation of software developed for managed service providers, companies providing IT outsourcing services, and corporate IT organisations.
