Opera Software today offers details on its embedded browser for Sony’s new Mylo personal communication device.
Available in the US in September first, the Mylo communicator is an entertainment and communication device for those who live in Wi-Fi-enabled environments. With the Opera browser, Mylo Communicator users can surf all their favourite websites, including popular web-based e-mail services such as Yahoo! Mail and Gmail.
Using Opera’s Extensible Rendering Architecture (ERA), Opera instantly adjusts web content to fit the mylo’s 2.4 inch colour LCD screen, providing a better, more intuitive Internet experience by eliminating horizontal scrolling. The Opera browser for devices is renowned for maintaining full browsing features on devices with fewer resources than a typical desktop computer.
