The Epson EPL-5900 and EPL-5900L monochrome laser printers are aimed at the small business user and are compact and easy to use.
The EPL-5900 A4 printer offers reliable local or small workgroup printing with a 250-sheet multipurpose paper tray as standard and an optional 500-sheet paper cassette. A standard USB 1.1 and IEEE 1284 parallel interface is also included, with PCL5e/PCL6 emulation as standard.
The standard 8Mbyte memory can be upgraded to 136Mbyte. It also features a 200MHz TMPR4955AF high performance processor.
The EPL-5900 is available in three models: standard, network ready or postscript. Other optional features include True Adobe PostScript 3 (standard on 5900PS version) and 10/100 Base TX Network Print Server (standard on 5900N version).
The EPL-5900L is suitable for standalone printing and has a standard 150-sheet MP tray. Standard USB and IEEE 1284 parallel interfaces are included and its 2Mbyte memory can be expanded to 13Mbyte (EDO RAM SIMM).
Both models have 1200 dot/in resolution and can print at 12page/min.
