Musgrave SuperValu-Centra (MSVC), the retail franchise division of the food and grocery distributor, which includes nearly 650 independently-owned Centra and Super Valu stores, has awarded its telecommunications contract to MinuteBuyer.

In an agreement valued at €1.2m annually, MinuteBuyer will provide the Musgrave Group with an independent telecoms brokerage service and a telecoms consultancy service, which will include telecom audits, invoice verification and the provision of management information. MinuteBuyer says it will also negotiate the best rates available from service providers across fixed line, mobile, Internet and data services.

The partnership is expected to reduce Musgrave’s fixed line telecommunications bill by around 30 percent. ‘MinuteBuyer demonstrated clearly where we would be making significant savings, and savings are crucial in our business,’ said Tim Hoban, finance director, MSVC. ‘This gives us an important business advantage and positively affects our bottom line.  We can focus our energies on our business, knowing that MinuteBuyer is delivering the most effective telecoms solutions.’
