Enterprise reseller Mentec International has acquired Belfast-based software firm Transfare Solutions as part of a corporate expansion programme. Transfare Solutions is a provider of software for automation and management of travelling, subsistence and expenses.
Kevin Haverty, chief executive of Mentec International, said the acquisition was part of the company’s strategy of expanding its product portfolio and geographic base. ‘This provides us with a direct presence in Northern Ireland for the first time and also adds a market-leading solution that fits in perfectly with our product portfolio.’
Mentec International says it is planning to make further acquisitions in the UK as part of its ongoing expansion strategy. According to an American Express Survey of Business Travel Management, one third of all employees now claim expenses. ‘Only salaries exceed travel & expenses as a controllable expense at companies today. Our solution cuts the cost of processing expenses by up to 60 per cent,’ said Chris Kingin of Transfare.
Transfer Solutions’ core product captures expenses data within an organisation for faster payment, reduced administration overheads and detailed management analysis to control costs. The company’s established management and development teams will remain in place.
