IT distributor Memory Bank has signalled its continued expansion by signing a new contract with Meru Networks said to be worth €3.5 million over the next two years.

Under the agreement, Memory Bank is to distribute Meru Network’s entire range of wireless networking technology in Ireland.

Elaine Ralph, MD of Memory Bank said: "We are seeing a strong demand from the market for more powerful and efficient wireless networking solutions. This is due to the dramatic rise in the number of wireless devices like smart phones, tablet PCs and laptops being used in all organisations; from businesses, universities, conference centres, hospitals and schools. We chose to work with Meru because it’s the only wireless technology that is designed from scratch to handle this challenge and has effectively created the new standards for wireless enterprise networks."

David Kelly, vice president of international sales for Meru said: "We chose Memory Bank to distribute Meru technology in Ireland because we were looking for a focused Irish distribution partner with a well established network of enterprise solution providers. Memory Bank not only fulfills these criteria but has demonstrated that they have the technical, sales and marketing capabilities to effectively build and support our new Irish channel of resellers."
