The Memorex DVD Re-writer unit comprises an internal DVD+RW/+R drive and it comes with a UDMA 33 IDE-Interface.

It offers DVD Speed of 2.4x DVD+RW and +R rewriting (Random Write/Sequentia Write) equivalent to 22x speed in CD-RW drives. The machine reads DVD-ROM/+RW media at 8x.

When operating as a CD-R/RW, it has 12x writing speed, 10x rewriting speed, 32x reading speed. Average access time for the system is 140 ms in DVD mode, 120ms in CD mode. The software bundle includes Roxio Easy CD Creator Basic 5.1 and Roxio Video Pack.

Also new from Memorex is the Internal CD-RW drive 40x12x40. It comes with an E-IDE Interface that is MMC2 and IMAPI compliant. 

It operates at 40x writing speed (6000KB/s) Zone-CLV or CAV writing; 12x rewriting speed (1800KB/s) CLV-rewriting and 48x reading speed (7200KB/s) CAV-reading.

Average access time is 80 ms and the unit is compatible with a number of operating systems including DOS 6.xx, Windows 3.1x, Windows 95/98/ME/2000, NT, XP, and OS/2 Warp.
