Trinity College’s Science Gallery is has launched Makeshop, a collaborative workshop space where people can learn anything from DIY robotics to fashion design.
The aim of Makeshop is to provide people with the tools, materials and guidance they need to get building anything from bags and clicks to robots and paper toys.
To celebrate the official opening this weekend, Makeshop is holding two days of free workshops (usual price €5) on Saturday 25 August and Sunday 26 August, where a team of makers will show how to make LED throwies, paper toys, soldering and how to contruct drawing robots and bristlebots
Makeshop will also be launching a series of premium workshops on get started with Arduino, 3D Printing Techniques and papercraft techniques for rapid prototyping and Model Making.
Opening hours at MAKESHOP are Sunday to Friday 11am-6pm, Saturday 10am-6pm. Drop-in workshops require no pre-booking and last between 10 and 30 minutes and cost €5 per person. Premium workshops require pre-booking and cost from €30 per person.
