Logic3 i-Station8

Life

5 September 2006

Compact and relatively light, the i-Station8 could be used as either a permanent fixture in the home or as a portable unit.

It’s possible to power the unit by AA batteries as well as via the mains, and a European adapter plug is included. The unit will also charge your iPod as it plays.

The i-Station8 has a selection of useful connections built into it, such as composite and S-video outputs. Connect these to a TV to view films stored on a video-compatible iPod. Sound quality was very reasonable, thanks to eight little driver speakers and a built-in subwoofer.  It’s not all smiles, though – it was slow to connect when the iPod was plugged in, and there’s no equivalent for the click wheel on the remote control.
