Microsoft has introduced a volume licensing agreement for organisations with five or more PCs. The Multi-Year Open (MYO) licence allows small firms to use the latest versions of Microsoft’s software with the flexibility to spread payments annually over three years.
As well as making it easier for companies to budget and manage their software licences, the MYO licence also includes Software Assurance coverage so that whenever a software upgrade is released, companies can automatically install it.
To qualify for MYO, organisations must have five or more PCs and agree to buy one or more of Microsoft’s Platform products – MS Windows Professional, MS Office Professional or Core CAL.
The Multi-Year Open licence can be purchased to cover a small number of PCs within an organisation or across an entire enterprise.
