Irish reseller named for Autodesk Plant Solutions

British-based Aceri Distribution has appointed C-Cad Computing as the Irish reseller for Autodesk Plant Solutions. Aceri is a European distributor specialising in electrical and plant software. Autodesk makes design innovation technologies for the manufacturing, building, construction, and process and plant markets.

Aceri’s Allan Murphy noted: “C-Cad Computing has an understanding of the plant and process design market in Ireland and is uniquely placed to develop the growing potential of these Autodesk Solutions.”

Solutions include AutoCAD P&ID. This accelerates piping and instrumentation diagram design and helps ensure accuracy on projects where revisions are constant. It aims to address challenges such as shortages of specialised staff, time constraints, and the need to share design data across multiple engineering disciplines.

C-Cad Computing GM Jim Barrett said the deal would help to minimise “the obstacles that can make plant and process design overly complex and inefficient.”

C-Cad Computing is also the Irish reseller for NavisWorks solutions distributed by Aceri. NavisWorks was acquired by Autodesk in 2007. It specialises in software for 3D digital designs in the construction, process and plant design markets. Its products are used by architects and engineers, among others.
