Team work: HP’s Paul Turley, left, with Mercury’s Philip Adams and Tony O’Rourke of Ipsus
Ipsus Technologies, a certified HP software business partner, has revealed details of Mercury Engineering’s adoption of HP Software as a Service (SaaS) Quality Centre in its global roll out of SAP.
The individual deal value was not disclosed. However, recent wins for Ipsus Technologies with HP Application Quality Management (AQM) tools have reportedly been over EUR*250,000.
Mercury implemented SAP in 2006 to streamline and automate some business-critical processes, but Mercury’s growth since then has necessitated the roll out of SAP to its network of global offices.
Working with HP certified software partner, Ipsus Technologies, Mercury chose HP Quality Centre to help streamline the testing process and enable the team to implement the SAP system without delay.
Mercury’s Philip Adams, business applications manager, notes: “HP Quality Centre provided the capability to develop a suite of test plans and scripts which could be reused in each location so that we could manage the defect analysis and resolution remotely.”
Adams added: “As the roll out of SAP progresses from one country to the next, the payback from the set-up of plans and scripts will continue to increase.”
Adams said significant economies of scale are already evident in the Polish phase of the SAP project, with up to 80 % of the test scripts and plan being reused. The system has also boosted collaboration among the project team and delivers up-to-the-minute status reports on testing progress to management.
