PC Cubed has signed a deal with HP to supply a range of iPAQs and point of sale PCs to its customers base in line with the distributor’s plans to strengthen its presence in the mobile space.
Joining forces with a global brand such as HP will allow the company to provide a wider range of hardware options to their customer base, said a PC Cubed spokesman. It will also enable the distributor to supply a wider range of IT companies outside its existing customer base.
There are benefits too to HP in partnering with a niche provider such as PC Cubed. HP’s Martin Cullen noted that the value a niche partner could add to the HP brand “is crucial to our growth over the coming years.”
PC Cubed operations director Kieran McInerney observed that HP is “extremely partner-centric”, offering flexible, dynamic and focused services – “allowing PC Cubed to sell the product to the best of our ability”.
New to the product range available through PC Cubed are the iPAQ 114 PDA phone companion and the iPAQ 214 Enterprise PDA, a business-class PDA. This latter unit has a 4″ touch-screen display, powerful processor, and integrated 802.11b/g networking capability.
PC Cubed MD Celine Hackett told Irish Computer that, since 1994, the firm’s ethos has been to directly align its value proposition with the business objectives of its customers.
