Havok and Sony Ericsson have announced the release of Havok’s product suite to Android developers.
The software, newly optimised for the Xperia Play, Sony Ericsson’s gaming smartphone, set for release this week.
David Coghlan, managing director, Havok said:
“We were extremely impressed by the performance of the Xperia Play and the ease with which we were able to port our technology to the platform. This will enable developers to use Havok technology to create cinematic, rich 3D immersive games for Android smartphones with Xperia Play in the forefront.”
Havok has now fully ported all seven of its products to Gingerbread (version 2.3) version of Android.
Current smartphone users will be able to trade in their handsets for a 50% discount off the Xperia Play from Carphone Warehouse outlets nationwide.
