Groupon is looking to fill over 20 new full-time positions at its software development centre in Dublin.
The company is looking for experienced software engineers, computer programmers, data scientists and computational marketers, as well as for new college graduates in related disciplines.
Groupon delivers daily deals and real-time digital coupons for consumers and businesses. The company’s new hires will cross a range of functions, including computational marketing – analysing data to personalise consumer offers, and help businesses to identity and retain customers.
With plans to move to new offices in Dublin’s city centre as part of the expansion plan, the company, which has more than 10,000 people in 48 countries, already employs about a dozen people in Dublin. The new positions will be filled by the end of the year and Groupon expects to further increase their investment in the months to come.
This project is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
Rich Williams, Groupon Chief Marketing Officer said: "We are incredibly pleased to be actively recruiting for the Dublin office. Ireland is a strategic market in Groupon’s global operations – and we want the best and brightest technology and marketing minds to help us to continue to scale.
"Groupon’s business model is based on a creative, disruptive approach, partnering with our merchant community to give consumers more choice, flexibility and value. Groupon is driving growth through Big Data analytics, and we want to hear from candidates with competencies across a range of areas, including maths, statistics computing, science and sociology."
