Emit and Spanish Point will be collecting awards at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference this July in Toronto.

Emit was named Microsoft global small and midmarket cloud solutions partner of the year and Spanish Point was named Ireland partner of the year.

“Less than two years after aligning our business with Microsoft Cloud technologies we have grown our business significantly, whilst delivering innovative and industry-leading solutions to our clients. In the last year alone our Office 365 business has grown by 500%, while our Azure business has increased by 400%,” said Eamon Moore, managing director, Emit. “I would like to thank the Microsoft Ireland team for their support and commitment to Emit which has been instrumental in our success to date. In the last year Emit has achieved six Microsoft certifications, including gold partner status for small and midmarket cloud solutions, and the Microsoft Ireland team has supported us every step of the way.”

Donal Cullen, CEO, Spanish Point, said: “This award is a proof point of our team’s commitment to technical excellence in building solutions on the Microsoft platform. We are excited about the future with Microsoft, in particular their cloud products, and look forward to our continued growth in this area as we hire the best engineers and software developers into Spanish Point to deliver world-class solutions for our customers.”

Aisling Curtis, small and medium business and partner director at Microsoft, said: “The 2016 partner of the year award winners and finalists represent the most innovative and transformative work being done across our partner community in Ireland and globally.

“Emit and Spanish Point have not only set the standard in platform adoption, they have shown how they can deliver major customer value, bring their customers huge innovation with minimum risk, and deliver massive growth and income. It is important to recognise and celebrate the value and opportunity these solutions create for our mutual customers.”

Winners have been named in 37 categories, including cloud technology, public sector, citizenship and many more. The award finalists and winners were selected from more than 2,500 nominations collected from 119 different countries worldwide.
