Fujitsu‘s new ScanSnap document scanner allows users to convert paper documents up to A4 size into Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
The product can convert documents into digital images and can scan both sides of a page at a rate of 15 documents a minute. ScanSnap automatically recognises whether documents are black and white or colour, and deletes unwanted blank pages. This reduces batch preparation time and keeps file sizes down to a minimum.
Adobe PDF files are generated as documents and pass through ScanSnap’s automatic 50-page-feeder (ADF). These digital files are then organised, shared and protected as easily and routinely as any other files stored on an MS Windows PC or network.
