Cubic Telecom signs landmark deal with Rakuten

Cubic Telecom has announced plans to work on an international connectivity solution with Rakuten to offer affordable international connectivity to the Japanese ISP’s mobile customers.

The Rakuten Global Travel SIM will go on sale in March 2016, offering competitive rates for connecting to Tier 1 networks anytime, anywhere.

The connectivity service allows users to choose from a range of price packages on voice, text and data to suit their travel plans.

The connectivity solution is enabled by Cubic’s technology and agreements with Tier 1 mobile operators around the world.  Branded as Rakuten Mobile Global SIM, Cork-based Cubic wll provide a customised white label platform and portal allowing Rakuten Mobile customers to register, manage price plans, access data bundles and purchase prepaid plans.
