Microtek’s TurboScan 1505u is a 15page/min, colour document scanner with 50 page feeder, duplex capability and USB interface.
The 1505u can be used in a business environment to archive documents, scan reports and convert to editable text or implement a low cost document management system.
The scanner comes with a software bundle: ABBYY Fine Reader Pro 6 quickly converts scanned pages into editable text with a high level of accuracy. Adobe Acrobat 5 allows files to be modified and stored in PDF form, retaining original layout, fonts and images.
Normal documents are scanned in monochrome mode at 15page/min with selectable duplex to make double-sided document scanning hassle free. The device can scan in colour at 5page/min and up to 6000dpi.
The TurboScan 1505u has a small footprint and its slide away output tray allows it to be positioned close to the user’s workstation without taking up much space.
The unit’s page loader can handle 50 documents (A8 to Legal size). This automatically feeds in up to 50 pages in either simplex or duplex mode at the push of a button.
Scan and Send buttons located on the scanner’s front panel allow for convenient scanning to file and scanning straight to a printer for instant copies.
