Canon has released the Selphy CP790, a photo printer designed specifically for family-friendly ease of use.

The printer features a built-in PictBridge port to connect digital cameras, or else a memory card slot, both of which can fit a variety of brands. Users can upload photos from their phones via Infra-red or Bluetooth technology. Alternatively, the package comes with Selphy Photo Print 1.0 for both Windows and Mac. The photos are displayed on a 3″ LCD screen and can be sorted through using the Easy Scroll Wheel.

Basic photo editing can be done without a PC, such as Red-Eye and Skin Tone Correction and Noise Reduction on fuzzier images. Sepia, Vivid, Positive Film, and Black & White filters can also be applied. In addition, the Photo Diary feature allows users to spread out photos in six different diary layouts with over a dozen stamps to add as decoration.

Prints are available in five sizes: postcard, wide, credit card, and mini-and a single postcard size photo can be printed in as little as 47 seconds.
