Camara Education launched its new three-year strategy ‘Prove, Improve, Scale‘, which aims to bring digital literacy to 2 million children by the end of 2016.

The report aims to demonstrably prove the effecacy of Camara’s efforts and increase the number of students who have benefitted from them.

“Many ICT in education interventions have been unsuccessful and none have proven impact,” said John Fitzsimons, CEO, Camara Education. “Camara will be pioneers in the field, which is why this new strategy is so exciting”.

Camara’s successful model is based on a holistic approach to enhancing education, integrating educator training and localised content with technical support, along with the supply of refurbished PCs.

Since its foundation in 2005, Camara Education has dispatched 50,000 computers to 2,500 schools and trained 12,000 educators in 10 countries.
