BT Ireland was announced as the recipient of the Cisco Ireland gold partner of the year award at the Web Summit this week.

Cisco unveiled the six winners of its Ireland Partner Awards at its annual Ireland Partner Forum. The Awards recognise the achievements of a select group of Cisco partners and their innovation within the commercial market.

“At Cisco, we pride ourselves on working with some of the country’s leading channel partners and distributors” said Adam Grennan, country manager, Ireland, Cisco. “BT Ireland is one of the names that ranks highly on this list. It’s with our immense pleasure that we’re able to recognise its excellence and quality of execution as a Cisco Ireland Partner Award winner.”

Colm O’Neill, chief executive, BT Ireland, said: “We’ve had phenomenal Cisco sales growth over the past three years. We are one of the biggest global operators in Ireland, with a major local presence, and increasingly multinational corporations and large indigenous companies are choosing us to deliver their networked IT services.

“Businesses reliance on high-speed wired and wireless networks, unified communications, cloud services, and date centre services are driving demand in this market segment, and we’re well placed to be their partner of choice.”

BT employs over 650 people in Ireland.
