Wi-Fi network operator BitBuzz has announced figures for September, showing over 100,000 monthly logins for the first time.
Shane Deasy, managing director, Bitbuzz commented: “We are very excited with our record breaking September login figures, and are delighted to be offering such a beneficial and much needed service to our customers in both Ireland and the UK. On the basis of activity during the month of September, we are confident that this growth will continue.”
Bitbuzz recorded monthly login figures of just over 48,000 for the month of September 2009, representing more than a 100% increase for the same period in 2010. Bitbuzz contribute much of this growth to the rise in popularity of smartphones, with currently over 350,000 iPhone users in Ireland.
The total number of Bitbuzz Wi-Fi hotspots across the country at the end of September 2010 was 232, up from 198 at the end of 2009.
