WinForecast Professional from Sage lets businesses streamline their financial and budget planning. The new release has links to Sage’s Line 50, Line 100 and Line 200 accounting software that also allow a speedy transfer of data from accounting to forecasting and makes it easier to update business plans and reports on an ongoing basis.
WinForecast Professional is intended for accountants or users with some accounting experience. Tasks such as budgeting and financial planning can be done all year round rather than as a once-a-year exercise.
Sage claims that budget, cashflow and balance sheet forecasts can be produced up to ten times faster than using a traditional spreadsheet. Users can view a range of reports, including Profit and Loss, Cash Flow, Funds Flow and Balance Sheet Forecasts, at the touch of a button.
Additional features have been made to the functionality of WinForecast Professional. A ‘What if’ analysis option allows the users to plan effectively by seeing the effect of possible changes in sales volumes or overhead costs.
For businesses with multiple individual units, WinForecast Professional now allows them to flex records kept for each separate unit at a consolidated level rather than having to flex each individual forecast.
