Time is money: Save both with Epson’s fast dot matrix passbook printer

Epson has minted an all-in-one device designed to speed customer transactions in banks, post offices and other busy environments.

The maker claims its PLQ-22CS/CSM dot matrix passbook printer processes financial documents quickly to reduce customer queues during busy periods.

Epson says the 24-pin, 94-column dot matrix printer provides high-quality scanned images, giving a better-than-magazine-quality resolution of 600dpi.

The devices includes a dual-side colour scanner for processing customer information on account books, cheques and bills. It can scan both sides of a document simultaneously.

Epson Ireland channel manager Katrina Timmis notes: “This durable all-in-one device boasts an impressive ribbon yield of 10 million characters.” It carries a one-year warranty as standard.

Optional extras include a magnetic ink character reader or magstripe reader writer encoder head and built-in 3-port USB hub.

It’s available now in three versions: with colour scanner only, with colour scanner and MICR/MSRW, and with colour scanner and MICR/MSRW and USB hub.
