Asavie attains Deloitte best managed company status

Internet of Things firm Asavie, was named as one of Ireland’s best managed companies at the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards last Friday.

The Awards, held at the National Convention Centre in Dublin, was attended by over 800 people from the Irish business community who came together to recognise indigenous companies across Ireland which are operating at the highest levels of business performance.

The network of 115 best managed companies now employs over 47,000 people around the country and has a combined turnover of almost €10 billion. Recognising the importance of overseas markets for Irish companies, the honourees also recorded an average growth in export sales of 161% over the last three years.

Sixteen companies from around Ireland were awarded best managed status for the first time this year and a further 11 retained their best managed status.

Ralph Shaw, CEO, Asavie (pictured), said: “Asavie has enjoyed substantial growth over the past number of years, with both headcount and revenue doubling over the last 12 months. This award honours all of our team who have contributed to the innovation and growth which has established Asavie as leading global player in the field of Internet of Things and mobility.”

The Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards, in association with Barclays Bank Ireland, is open to companies from all 32 counties on the island of Ireland. It is the only awards programme that considers a business’ performance from every perspective.
