Apple Western Europe top executive departs, sales force restructuring imminent
Apple’s European management team is facing a major change. According to a report from news agency Bloomberg, Mark Rogers, vice president for Western Europe, will leave the company in the autumn.
Rogers worked at Apple for 27 years, the last 12 of which he served as vice president. In this position, he was responsible for key markets such as Germany, France, the United Kingdom and other countries in Western Europe.
In addition to his role as head of the Western European market, Rogers held an even more influential position: vice president of global enterprise sales. In that capacity, he was responsible for global sales to enterprise customers. He reported directly to Mike Fenger, Apple’s global sales chief (VP of all sales), who himself reports to CEO Tim Cook.
Several shifts have already taken place within Apple’s sales organisation recently. For example, Fenger took over full leadership from his former co-head Doug Beck in 2023. According to Bloomberg, after Rogers’ departure, his duties will be split.
Juan Castellanos, currently vice president for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will be given responsibility for Western Europe. Global enterprise sales will be taken over by Vivek Thakkar, who currently leads enterprise operations and carrier sales in the US Reporting lines remain unchanged: both Castellanos and Thakkar will remain under Fenger.
