Stroke of genius: No more heart-stopping exam sweats?

Medical iPhone apps specialist Pocket Anatomy has released Pocket Heart, the first 3D human anatomy iPad application. Aimed at biology students studying human anatomy and at coronary care professionals, it can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store.

The developers say Pocket Heart 1.0 for iPad is the first 3-D application providing high-quality anatomical information of the human heart rendered specifically for the iPad.

It provides detailed anatomical content in an interactive 3-D form and comes with a self-test facility. Learning content is presented as a series of annotated illustrations plus narrative associated with the heart’s elements.
