doubleTwist is an iTunes friendly media player for Android

19 March 2014

1 Second Everyday
For: iOS
The idea of making video portraits compiled from a linear collection of one-second videos isn’t new, so it makes sense that there’s an app for making them without the need for an editing suite. New in version 1.8 is ‘Super Seconds’ to give you a little bit more time to capture those extra precious/mundane moments.

Artsy
For: iOS
Updated daily, this is a collection of all the modern art you, or the world, would ever want to consume. More than 600 artists from 60 countries are collected and you can even pinch to zoom in one pictures so closely that – the developers say – you can even see the brush strokes. A new feature added this month is the ability to track art fairs and trending artists. Not to be confused with a similarly-named Android app.

doubleTwist
For: Android
A combination music and podcast player, doubleTwist brings together all your media in one place. As well as working as a standalone app it can also sync by USB or wireless with iTunes, preserving your playcounts, playlists and ratings and saving any changes you might make for when you next connect to your Mac or PC.
