Samsung has launched a new ruggedized model in Ireland. The maker says its Solid Extreme handset, designed to withstand exceptionally tough outdoor conditions, is ideal for outdoor workers and those leading an adventurous lifestyle.
The new model is resistant to water and dust, and is “shock-proof to a military standard,” according to Samsung, which says the phone can survive being dropped from 10m and being fully submerged in water.
Samsung country manager Gary Twohig said the Solid Extreme was launched in direct response to continued demand in Ireland for durable and functional phones which did “not compromise on quality or style.”
Twohig added: “The Samsung Solid Extreme takes ruggedized phones to a new level. It combines the sporty good looks of Ana Ivanovic with the toughness of Vin Diesel. Whether you make a call in driving rain on the side of an Irish mountain or accidentally drop your phone into your pint, the Samsung Solid Extreme will keep coming back for more”.
