Expand Networks has introduced the Accelerator 4930, an all-in-one network optimisation solution for small or branch offices. The Accelerator 4930 is claimed to deliver up to 6 Mbps of compression, up to 45 Mbps of optimisation and up to 15 Mbps of acceleration.
Expand Networks Accelerators combine multiple optimisation capabilities to achieve a single solution designed with productivity, cost and simplicity in mind.
Expand points out that for end users, productivity increases as application performance reliably improves and time spent waiting for data and applications access over the WAN is dramatically reduced.
Expand says that, by providing a simple and integrated solution, it lets IT departments more efficiently manage the application infrastructure, reducing servers and other appliances while delivering a holistic network view from a single access point.
